INS Vagsheer is the last of six Scorpene class submarines. In January 2017, INS Khanderi, the third of six Scorpene'-class submarines was launched. The Navy's fourth submarine, INS vagir, is currently undergoing sea tests and will be joining the fleet in a year to two years after the trials have ended.

DCNS is a French naval defense firm that was selected for the design and construction of the Scorpene. DCNS is an historical partner of Norway for the Hauk Patrol Boats programme. The company is currently designing a second-generation hydrogen fuel cell AIP module for future Scorpene models.

The submarines of the 'Scorpene class are capable of performing anti-surface as well as anti-submarine warfare. They can also launch precision guided weapons. It can also carry out intelligence gathering missions. Scorpene Submarines, one of the most advanced and powerful conventional attack submarines in existence, are a great choice. They can operate in any theatre. They can carry a wide range of weapons, including mine laying, anti-submarine warfare and area surveillance. These submarines have excellent stealth features which can decrease the detection ranges of sensors. The submarine's sonar is capable of detecting and identifying obstacles and mines in water.

The Scorpene submarine can launch precision guided weapons, including antiship and anti-surface rockets. The integrated navigation systems combine data from both global positioning system (GPS), and log data to create a single, comprehensive navigation system. The submarine can reach speeds of 12 knots when surfaced and 20 knots when submerged.

The Scorpene submarine can be operated at sea for up 21 days depending on its speed. This submarine can be fitted with a MESMA system, which is a version of the Naval Group nuclear propulsion system. The MESMA systems requires a hull with a length of 8.3 m and generates heat using oxygen and ethanol. The system will cost approximately $50-60 million. You can also equip the submarine with an integrated platform control system. This provides central machine control. The submarine can travel up 6500 nautical miles.

There are 31 crew members on the submarine, and nine standard watch teams. All operational areas have full rescue equipment and are air-conditioned. Special operations crews have six folding bunks available to them. The submarine measures 5.8m deep and can travel at up to 11 knots above the surface.

The 'Scorpene,' sub-sea vessel is designed to operate in all theatres including anti-surface war, mine laying, surveillance, intelligence gathering, and area surveillance. The submarine's ability to operate under all conditions gives it greater flexibility and operational effectiveness. The Scorpene submarine can operate in all oceans and water, and is capable of operating under any conditions, even adverse weather. The submarine is easily adaptable to specific customer requirements. The Scorpene submarine can also be built to carry a larger load of ammunition and fuel. The submarine can be equipped with an Air Independent Propulsion Module, which will improve endurance.

The Scorpene submarine can operate in any weather conditions and has advanced technology that increases its stealth. The submarine's hull is designed to allow for low-radiated noise, which reduces the risk of detection by hostile sensors.
