The Ohio class submarine is currently the US's largest submarine. The Navy has ordered nine of these submarines for $22 billion, with an option to build another one. Block V submarines will be longer and more powerful than their predecessors. They would be the US's second-largest submarine if built to specification.
Ohio-class submarines
The US Navy’s Ohio-class submarines are among the largest military vessels. They are powered using steam turbines as well as pressurized water generators. They can reach a depth of 800 feet and travel at 25 knots. Electric Boat, Groton, Connecticut built the Ohio's hull.
The Ohio-class submarines have the ability to carry up 154 Tomahawk cruise missiles. Each Tomahawk missile is capable of traveling 1,000 miles. They are also equipped with up to 66 special operations personnel. You can convert the forward-most missile tubes into lock-out chambers.

Typhoon-class submarines
The US Navy is phasing out Typhoon class submarines. They were created to counter Soviet submarines during Cold War. The US designed the Typhoon-class submarines to be comparable with the nuclear-powered US submarines. The overhaul of the leading submarine, TK-208 has begun. It is unlikely that it will return to service. All other submarines in this class are also scheduled to be retired.
The Typhoon submarine is a unique multi-hull design, with two pressure hulls and five inner habitable hulls. The total number of compartments is 19, with the missile compartment at the bow in the upper half of the bow. While the outer light hull of the submarine is made from steel, its submarine structure is made from titanium.
Russian submarines
The Russian Navy owns four submarines of the Borei type. Each submarine can carry a crew of 107. They are about a hundred and seventy meters long, thirteen meters wide, and weigh 24,000 tonnes. They are powered by nuclear reactors. The submarines have advanced hulls that reduce noise. They can travel at speeds up to 25 knots underwater.
The Belgorod is the first of four planned submarines being built by Russia. It will be able carry Poseidon submarine torpedoes. These are intended for coastal targets. Other countries will not build submarines as large as the Belgorod, but they will try to counter it by building bigger ones.

Block V Submarines
Block V submarines are significantly larger than earlier versions, ranging from 377 feet to 460 feet. These submarines can carry up to 10 000 tons and are second in size to the Ohio-class. Each submarine has eighty-three feet long vertical launch system tubes (VLS) and can deploy up to 40 cruise missiles.
Block V submarines also will receive acoustic enhancements. These upgrades are a priority in the Navy's design of new submarines. The new boats will have roughly a 20 percent difference in design from Block IV boats, according to a report by the Congressional Research Service in February 2022.
