Jet drones can be described as an unmanned aerial vehicle. They can be used to provide logistical support, surveillance and aerial targeting. Kratos Defense & Security Solutions designed the UTAP-22, a military target drone. The drone can be flown at heights of seven to 40,000 feet. There are many electronic upgrades that can be added to the drone. These upgrades include an aerodynamic pack, which can help increase fuel efficiency.
A SATCOM receiver is also available on the UAV, which allows a ground station or other device to communicate with it. This is particularly helpful for long-range missions. A machine vision system is also included, which aids in autonomous navigation.
The new drone is also designed to survive a challenging environment. According to the company, the drone can operate under sound and at speeds of up to 500 miles per hour. It can also be used in areas with limited infrastructure.
According to JetQuad VTOL drones can hover precisely in one spot, according to the company. It is made to withstand extreme weather, unlike many other drones. That is why it can handle rough terrain, operating in places where the electrical grid is not present. JetQuad has many options. You can choose from a basic model at $85,000 or an aerodynamic upgrade for $44,000.
Kratos has also introduced a second type of drone, the XQ-222. This UAV was designed from a clean sheet design, and was recently commissioned to the Air Force Research Lab. The aircraft can be modified so that it can fly in areas without electricity.
The U.S. Navy awarded the company a contract worth $50.9 million in December. Kratos also got a $4.1m order from an international client. Although it didn't give any details, the company said it would take from one to 18 months for the orders to be fulfilled.
Kratos has also produced the XQ-58A Valkyrie (XQ-58A Mako) and the XQ-58A Mako (XQ-58A Mako), both designed for manned-uncrewed pair operations. So, it is the most trusted supplier of low-cost jet-powered unmanned aerial robots.
Apart from its jet-powered drones mentioned above, the company also has a drone designed for indoor play. It is equipped with an internal weapons bay, a low RCS and is therefore less sensitive than other drones to vibrations or noise.
Kratos Uncrewed Systems Division produces a number high-performance tactical aircraft drones for the U.S. Air Force as well as other military customers. Additionally, the company operates several production lines that annually produce 150 drones.
