There are many places where b-2-bombers are located. Whiteman Air Force Base, Missouri is where they are located. Another is the military base at Diego Garcia, a militarised island in the British Indian Ocean Territory (BIOT) that is part of Australia.
The US has used the B-2 stealth bomber since 1999 to attack targets around the world, including Afghanistan, Kosovo and Iraq. It can fly at altitudes up to 10,400ft which allows it to evade radars, and thus remain undetected.
These planes can travel long distances, and they carry a lot fuel. This is why they are able to be flown from any base around the world. One example is the recent use of these planes to bomb Islamic State training camp in Libya. The two b-2s used to carry out the mission were refueled several time in the air, and they traveled about 12,000 mile while they were there.
Tank bases
The USAF has a lot of experience in refueling these aircraft from the air. Air Force can deploy KC-135 or KC-10 tankers to aid the B-2 with fuel.

B2 Stealth Bomber
The B-2, the most expensive aircraft in the Air Force inventory, is currently only 20 in service. The aircraft's cost is over $1 billion, with only one B-2 being lost. The Air Force has worked to reduce the operating costs of these bombers.
In a New York Times feature, we asked hundreds of people involved in these bombers what their future looks like. Some of the answers were:
They could be sent to North Korea or Iran if there is a nuclear conflict in the near future. They would be able fly to these nations to drop their nuclear payloads before returning home for a change in crew.
The B-2 could also help destroy missile factories in Russia, or other rogue states trying to develop nukes. GPS-guided ammunition can be installed on the bombers, which can disable air defenses of enemy aircraft. This will make it less likely that they can shoot down American jets.
Russian Bomber
The B-2 can fly at extremely high altitudes and can evade radars so that it is impossible for other aircraft to track its movements or find its target. It can also carry extremely large weapons like ballistic missiles.

Some B-2 missions have been extremely successful, which has led to many interesting stories from air. They can be seen as a way for the USAF to showcase its latest weapons capabilities and prove its readiness.
These aircraft are a vital tool in our arsenal. These aircraft allow us to strike targets that other countries might be reluctant to attack using traditional warplanes.
