Military use of laser

military technology journal

Various companies and organizations use a military grade laser weapon system to conduct security tests. They include the Nuclear Regulatory Commission. It regularly conducts mock raids. Some tests are table-top, others require actual guns. Some of these tests are intended for participants to become familiar with the intricacies of the business. These include conducting "forceon-force" attacks on key facility buildings, testing and assessing the security of various equipments and systems, as well as testing and evaluating the resilience of security personnel.

Various companies use various technologies to monitor and manage their supply chains. The next logical step may be to use a laser weapon system of military quality. A military-grade laser cannon was tested by the University of Middle England. Although it isn't clear what they are trying to accomplish, it is an interesting experiment.

The best part about this exercise is that it involved a small number of companies using the same military-grade laser weapon systems to carry out the tests. The laser was able to cut a hole into a Ford F-150. It is probably not the most exciting thing to happen. The laser can generate rapidly expanding gas and is powerful enough to cause an explosion at point of impact. While some companies have been using the weapon for years, others are only now discovering its potential. The most exciting part of all is that the tests are open to the public.

The test is not the only thing that the fanatic gets. He or she also gets a private tour of a plant. This experience is unique in that it's the first of its kind. They may even be repeated elsewhere. NRC is using drones to inspect security gear.
