The Army Combat Fitness Test or ACFT is a physical exam that tests soldiers' abilities to move from one area to the other. The test is composed of several different exercises that are designed to assess how fit a soldier is. These exercises include the Deadlift which is also known as Army Combat Fitness Test or the Scorecard.

Physical assessment of occupational workers

The Occupational physical assessment (or OPAT), is a set of four tests that evaluates the general fitness of Army recruits. The test measures both muscular strength and muscle power as well cardiovascular endurance. It measures physical strength and power of recruits. It can lower training costs and reduce unqualified Soldiers. The score from the OPAT can also be used to smartly position recruits into the appropriate occupational track.

All Army recruits must pass the OPAT in 2017. The four elements of the test are agility, coordination strength, stamina and strength. The military relies on the OPAT to determine whether a recruit is physically fit enough to be assigned to a particular specialty.

Army Combat Fitness

The United States Army is set to introduce a new fitness test. It will better reflect combat stress. The test also aims to reduce the incidence of musculoskeletal traumas suffered by servicemen. It was designed to address the low levels of physical fitness in recruits. It is essential that the Army improves its physical fitness standards in order to increase the quality of its soldiers.

A series of drills and physical exercises are required to pass the military combat fitness test. The exercises are designed to test each member's strength, endurance, and stamina. They also include the standing power toss, which simulates tossing backward a 10-pound ball. These exercises assess a person’s muscular explosive power. This is important for moving quickly on uneven terrain and lifting heavy items.

Deadlift

An ACFT deadlift competition has three phases. The first phase consists of three repetitions of a weight. The repetitions will only be counted if the weight remains in place. Therefore, it is crucial to lift until you have completed all three repetitions. Failure to complete 3 repetitions will result a 2nd attempt at a lighter weight.

The second phase is a self-paced warmup. This warm-up is intended to prepare soldiers for ACFT deadlift. Each station will increase the weight by 20 lbs. This allows soldiers build a strong base without needing to do a lot of exercise.

Scorecard

The Army Combat Fitness Test (ACFT), is a physical assessment for soldiers. It has been revamped after decades of research and testing. The new version is expected to be released in 2020. It aims at addressing the major flaws found in the previous APFT. The new test is better able to assess soldiers against the field's demands.

The test has strict standards and is broken down by age group and gender. It will start on April 1, 2022 in active-duty for Soldiers, and October 1, 2020 for Reserve Soldiers. The goal is for soldiers to pass the test before the April 2023 and April 2024 deadlines, respectively.
