INS Vagsheer, the sixth of six Scorpene-class submarines, is the last. In January 2017, INS Khanderi, the third of six Scorpene'-class submarines was launched. The fourth submarine, INS Vagir, is undergoing sea trials and is expected to join the Navy fleet within a year or two after the trials are over.

DCNS is a French naval defence company which was selected to design and build the Scorpene. DCNS was a Norwegian partner in the Hauk Patrol Boats project. The company is currently developing a second generation hydrogen fuel-cell AIP module for future Scorpene vehicles.

The 'Scorpene' class submarines are designed to perform anti-surface and anti-submarine warfare. They can also launch precision guided weapons. The submarine is capable of carrying out intelligence gathering missions. Scorpene Submarines, one of the most advanced and powerful conventional attack submarines in existence, are a great choice. They can be used in all theatres. They are equipped with a range of powerful weapons that can be used to conduct anti-submarine warfare or mine laying. These submarines can also be equipped with superior stealth features, which can decrease detection ranges for their sensors. The submarine's high-resolution sonar can detect and identify mines and obstacles in the sea.

The Scorpene submarine can launch precision-guided weaponry, including antiship missiles and surface missiles. The integrated navigation systems combine data from both global positioning system (GPS), and log data to create a single, comprehensive navigation system. The submarine can travel at speeds of up to 12 knots if it is submerged and 20 if it is on the surface.

The Scorpene submarine can be operated at sea for up 21 days depending on its speed. This submarine can be fitted to a MESMA, which is a version the Naval Group nuclear propulsion system. The MESMA system requires a hull length of 8.3 metres and produces heat from oxygen or ethanol. The system will cost approximately $50-60 million. An integrated platform management system can also be installed on the submarine, which allows for central machinery control. The submarine can travel approximately 6,500 miles.

The crew of the submarine consists of 31 personnel and a standard team of nine watchmen. All areas that are used are air-conditioned, and include full rescue systems. Six bunks fold down for special operations crew are also available on the submarine. The submarine can travel up to 11 mph on the surface and is 5.8 metres deep.

The submarine 'Scorpene" is capable of operating in all theaters of operation, including anti-surface warfare and mine laying. It also has area surveillance and intelligence gathering capabilities. The submarine is capable of operating in all conditions. This gives it increased operational flexibility. Scorpene's submarine can operate on all seas and in all waters. The submarine is designed to be easily adapted to meet specific customer requirements. Scorpene's submarine can be built to hold more fuel or ammunition. You can also fit an Air Independent Propulsion module to increase its endurance.
