In the aftermath of war, civilians can be caught up in the middle or the conflict. Post-war societies were transformed by the Cold War and the occupation of Germany and Soviet Union territories. In addition, civilians and neutrals are fleeing the cities in hope of starting a new life somewhere else. They are left with little more than what they can carry and must find a way outside the city to start fresh.
